       MUSICAL MEMORIES WITH MARGIE . . . VOLUME 1

I'm very excited to report that I've finished my first CD titled Musical Memories with Margie, Volume 1. The CD consists of 18 familiar love songs, show tunes, and other standards from the '30s, '40s, and '50s (including WWII).

I’ve been performing my Musical Memories “One Woman Show” throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area for almost four years.  I’m delighted to say that business continues to get better all the time!

If you’ve had an occasion to be at one of my performances you are aware of my style;  hearing the music I love to sing as well as what my audiences love to hear.  Several of these songs are captured on my new CD.

Many of you know I have been singing almost all of my life.  I studied at the McPhail School of Music in Minneapolis, MN, sang with a 17 piece Jazz band, appeared in Community theatre in Oklahoma , Hello Dolly and Mame.  I also appeared in Allan Lotsberg’s Fogey Follies, and sang in the internationally known Bob Mantzke Chorale.  I have extensive church choir, wedding and memorial singing experiences.  And, way back when I was 13 years old, I appeared on  a local radio station;  WCCO’s Cedric Adam’s Stairway to Stardom Talent show (where alas, I lost to a whistler.)

This recording experience has just whet my appetite – my next Spiritual / Gospel CD is in the planning stage and not too far down the road.
